.DIA File Extension

Drawing file created by Dia, a Unix application often used to draw informal diagrams; contains XML data compressed using Gzip compression; includes text as well as drawn objects such as blocks, lines, and curves; can be exported to several different file formats, including .EPS, .SVG, .FIG, and .PNG.

File created by Do It Again, a Windows utility that records tasks and runs them; contains a macro, which stores actions such as mouse and keyboard events recorded by the user; used for saving an automated task, which can be invoked by the user.

DIA files are saved by default into the Do It Again installation directory. They have the same filename prefix as the name of the saved task. They are saved using plain text formatting.
