Secure media format that allows a variety of media formats to be encoded into a single secure container; similar to a standard Real Media (.RM) file, but supports digital rights management DRM, which prevents the file from being played on unauthorized computers or devices.
RMS files are created using the Helix DRM Packager, which generates a globally unique identifier (GUID), as well as a key for the secured file.
