.BLG File Extension

Log file created by Windows performance tracking tools; contains a history of the computer resource utilization and performance, such as the amount of CPU, memory, and disk resources used by different programs; used to analyze server and computer loads and discover resource bottlenecks.

BLG files are stored in a proprietary binary format. They can be converted to .CSV files using the "relog" command at the command prompt in Windows. They also can be viewed in the Windows Administrative Tools.

Log file created by BibTeX, a tool used to process bibliographic references for academic papers and technical documentation; stores a log of processed steps in a plain text format; often used for reviewing errors; can be viewed with any text editor.

Since LaTeX document generation can take multiple passes, BLG files can be used to review the current state of the document generation process.

NOTE: BibTeX is most commonly used for processing bibliographic citations in conjunction with LaTeX document generation.
