.DS File Extension

Plain text script used by DAZ Studio, a 3D modeling application; contains instructions that automate program functionality; may act like a macro for running common tasks or may include custom code that extends the functionality of the software; often used for applying character morphs or model presets, and for working with import and export file formats.

NOTE: DS files are used by DAZ Studio 1 and 2, but are still compatible with DAZ Studio 3. The native script extension for DAZ Studio 3 and later is .DSA.

Audio sample used by LMMS (Linux MultiMedia Studio), a free music creation program; can be loaded into the LMMS DrumSynth, which plays back sequences of drum samples.

DS files are saved in a lossless but compact format and are used specifically by the DrumSynth feature. LMMS can also load several other types of sample formats into audio tracks, including .WAV, .AIF, .OGG, and .MP3 files.

Provides a communications interface between a computer and scanner using TWAIN-compatible scanning software
