.WDGT File Extension

Widget used by the Dashboard in Mac OS X 10.4 and later; contains a small program such as a clock, calendar, dictionary word search, weather report, or a calculator; used as the format for distributing widgets and can be double-clicked to install the widget on the dashboard.

WDGT files are saved using .ZIP compression. The compressed container can include images, HTML files, JavaScript (.JS) files, .CSS styles, and other Web-based data.
