What is a CN1 file?

File format developed by The MITRE Corporation for Combat Net Radio (CNR) data parser applications; contains formatted initialization data fields for systems using MIL-STD-188-220 CNR modems; stored in an ASCII text format as a series of lines, each of which contain four hexadecimal characters.

CN1 files are designed for use in automating the networking initialization process for tactical military applications. They contain data elements for tactical networking modems, such as the application header, the bearer waveform, and other application-specific parameters.
