.FFX File Extension

Effects file used by Adobe After Effects, a motion graphics video production program; contains presets for a video effect, such as a fade or warping effect; used for enhancing videos during the editing and production process.

The After Effects installation includes several FFX files located in the /Presets/ directory.

Index of files searchable by Find Fast, a search program included with Microsoft Windows that allows for faster searches; often used to index all the files on a hard drive, though specific indexes can be created using the Find Fast Control Panel.

Typically named "Ffastun.ffx" and located in the root directory of a hard disk, network drive, or specific folder that has been indexed.
