What is an LSF file?
An LSF file is a data file used by the Libronix Digital Library System (DLS), an earlier digital book platform developed by Logos Bible Software. It contains data required by the DLS system to access and manage the main book content in a corresponding .LIX file, and both must be present for a digital book to load properly.
More Information
Pastors, Bible teachers, seminary students, and researchers widely used Libronix to search collections of Bible translations, original language texts, commentaries, and other theological resources. The LSF format is part of Libronix DLS's internal file structure for organizing licensed digital resources. These files help the software verify, index, and display books within a user's digital library.
NOTE: Newer versions of Logos Bible Software replaced the Libronix platform, using a different resource format.
How to open an LSF file
You can open LSF files with Libronix Digital Library System (Logos 2 or Logos 3), which was included with earlier versions of Logos Bible Software. Modern versions of Logos (Logos 4 and later) use a different internal resource format and no longer rely on LSF and LIX files as standalone book files, although you may be able to access licensed content through updated downloads within your Logos account.

An LSF file may also be a multimedia container format similar to the Advanced Systems Format (.ASF) used for streaming audio and video content over the Internet. Although LSF files are rare, streaming services and applications may deliver real-time or on-demand content via the LSF format, which is designed to enable smooth playback of media based on the conditions of a network.
How to open an LSF file
You can open LSF files with Microsoft Windows Media Player.
