An LTXD file is a text document created by Light Text Editor, a free, browser-based text editor. It contains plain text. LTXD files can also be opened offline in any text editor.

Light Text Editor is a simple text editor you could previously open in your web browser (such as Google Chrome) by going to the following website:

The program saves the text documents you create as LTXD files. The .ltxd extension denotes the file was created in Light Text Editor. However, LTXD files are standard plain text files, analogous to .TXT files.
NOTE: Light Text Editor is no longer available.
