What is an MMAT file?

An MMAT file is a mind map template created by Corel MindManager, a visual diagramming application. It contains a diagram, which MindManager users utilize to create other mind maps with similar content and design. MindManager comes with MMAT files, but users may also create them.

MindManager comes with various tools for creating diagrams to organize ideas and plans, such as a business venture or a surprise birthday party. When creating a new mind map, you can save time by starting from one of the app's included mind map templates.

How to create an MMAT file

To create an XMMAP file with MindManager:

Select File → New or New from Template...
Modify the mind map
Select File → Save As...
Choose MindManager Map Template in the format dropdown menu

How to open an MMAT file

You can open an MMAT file with Corel MindManager in Windows and macOS. To open an MMAT file, select File → Open.... If the MMAT file is bundled with the software, select File → New from Template....
