What is an NVT3 file?
An NVT3 file is a video that contains footage captured by a NetVue home security camera (typically in response to sensing motion). NetVue cameras save NVT3 files to their included SD card. To watch NVT3 videos, users must remove their camera's SD card, connect the SD card to their computer, and play the videos with NetVue's NVT Player.

NetVue's Vigil and Sentry security cameras save the videos that they capture as NVT3 files. Typically, users watch these videos from within their NetVue camera's associated app (connected to the camera via a network).
In some cases, however, users may wish to retrieve and play videos directly from their camera's SD card. Or, users who do not have access to NetVue's camera app may wish to play an NVT3 file they've been given. For this purpose, NetVue created standalone NVT Player applications for Windows and macOS, which can play NVT3 videos.
How to open an NVT3 file
You can play an NVT3 file with NetVue's NVT Player, available for Windows and macOS. For example, to open an NVT3 file, click Select a NVT file, then navigate to and open your NVT3 file.
