.RTC File Extension

File used by Microsoft Office Live Meeting, a program used for online collaborations and meetings; contains link information to join or begin a meeting; commonly found with the name launch.rtc.

When joining a meeting, a Web browsers may ask a user to download a launch.rtc file, which prevents the meeting from being joined. To fix this issue, use one of the following steps:

1. Disable the Internet Explorer "Do Not Save Encrypted pages to disk" option at the following menu location: Tools → Internet Options → Advanced → Security.
2. Re-associate the RTC file type with Live Meeting.
