.SC2DATA File Extension

Data file used by StarCraft II: Wings of Liberty, a real-time strategy game that takes place in outer space; stored in the Blizzard Mo'PaQ format (.MPQ files); can contain various types of files, such as XML configurations, fonts, animations, hotkey mappings, UI layouts, and artificial intelligence (AI) instructions.

SC2DATA files are used for packaging campaign and game modification information. Blizzard also uses them for sending game patch updates.

NOTE: Since SC2DATA files are MPQ files, you can open them with a MPQ editing program such as MPQ Editor.
