.SCHEMATIC File Extension

Template file used by MCEdit, a program used to make levels for the Minecraft sandbox construction game; contains an arrangement of custom blocks that make up part of a level; can be used for storing any type of minecraft level objects, such as buildings, bodies of water, or mobs.

SCHEMATIC files can be opened in MCEdit by selecting the Import button while editing a level. Also, schematics can be exported by selecting "Export Schematic" while the Select tool is selected.
