.ZS2 File Extension

Save state file created by ZSNES, an SNES emulator for PCs; contains a saved game snapshot; used to save and load game progress independent of the in-game save and load mechanisms.

ZSNES allows ten save slots (file extensions ZS0 through ZS9).

NOTE: ZSNES and in-game save states different. ZSNES save states can be created at any time during gameplay whereas in-game save states typically are controlled by milestone progress within the game.
