Data file created by 123D Catch, a program used for turning multiple 2D pictures into a 3D model; saves the data that is used for transforming the photos into a rendered 3D object; uses photo stitching technology to construct the model.
To create a model, users submit multiple digital photos of a stationary object. (The photos must have some degree of overlap or no photo scene can be constructed). These photos are uploaded to a cloud-based service which stitches the photos together into a 3D representation. The resulting 3D model can be saved as an .OBJ or .DWG file, or as a movie.
File created by 3DMark2011 SE, a program used for benchmarking PCs with DirectX 8; saves the system specs, a list of tests to run, and the results after running the benchmarks; allows the results to be saved and reviewed.
NOTE: DirectX 8 has largely been replaced by version 9 and 10. Therefore, 3DMark2011 SE is not as commonly used anymore and is considered legacy software by Futuremark.
