.FDS File Extension

GIS data file created by FME Desktop, a suite of spatial ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) applications; stores transformed spatial data in a custom format; used for exporting custom data sets that can be imported through FME Desktop's Reader Gallery component.

FDS files can be exported in FME Workbench (an application included with FME Desktop) by selecting File → Export As Custom Format....

Script created with Final Draft screenwriting software and saved as a "Secure Copy;" similar to a regular Final Draft document (.FDR file), but cannot be edited.

FDS files can be opened by Final Draft 5 or later as well as Final Draft Viewer 5.03 or later.
