.PNS File Extension

Stereoscopic image used for creating 3D effects from 2D images; contains two side-by-side .PNG images that produce a three-dimensional image when combined together in a stereoscopic image rendering software.

PNS images are not as popular as JPEG Stereo (.JPS) or Multi-Picture Object (.MPO) files.

Data file used by Popnoggin, an educational program that displays pop-up questions in the middle of games and other programs; saved in an XML format and contains the subject categories for questions displayed by the program.

Popnoggin allows children to earn game play time as they answer questions under a "pay-to-play" model. The program tracks the time spent on games and questions as well as each user's scores.

Video file captured by a Pelco closed circuit television (CCTV) system; saves the video in a proprietary format that can only be viewed using the Pelco software bundled with the security system; used for saving security videos.
