Archive of files created during a software installation process run by Windows Installer; contains files that can be restored if the installation does not successfully complete; if the installation is successful, the rollback file is automatically deleted.
The RBF file is saved along with a corresponding .RBS script file and stored in an archive named "Config.Msi."
Backup set containing data backed up with Retrospect backup software; contains actual files and folders backed up by Retrospect; can be restored based on the information saved in the .RBC backup catalog file.

File created by Retadam (Retrieval of Data for Small Areas by Microcomputer), a mapping software used for analyzing local and regional census and survey data; saves data as structured records in a compressed binary format; used for analyzing geographical areas from the size of a few city blocks to a whole country.
RBF files may store census data such as gender, age, and household information. The data is stored in the form of "entities" (a logical hierarchy of objects) and "variables" (information on entities), which are further defined by the Retadam documentation.
