.SDM File Extension

E-mail message created with the StarOffice Mail e-mail client; included with earlier versions of StarOffice; not supported by OpenOffice.org software.

Standard file format for GIS and CAD data; stores a list of coordinates that define a shape or area; supports ordinal, interval, and ratio scale maps.

NOTE: "SDM" is also a common abbreviation for "Spatial Data Model," which refers to the structure used to store mapping data.
