.SVX File Extension

ASCII text file created in the Survex format, a raw data format used for capturing cave surveying information; contains "centreline" data which includes the logged locations in the cave; used for mapping caves, exploring relationships between cave systems, and creating 3D visualizations.

SVX files may also contain instructions for including other files, data calibration, and survey stations.

Survex includes a program called "cavern" that reads SVX files and produces .3D files. The 3D files can be opened in another included program, "Aven," for 3D visualization.

Sound file saved in the Amiga audio interchange file format, a standard format for storing sound files on Amiga systems; can be played back with various third-party audio applications, including Winamp with in_wave.dll plug-in.
