.CLX File Extension

Dictionary file used by various software products, including Adobe Acrobat, Adobe Illustrator, Adobe InDesign, and Nemetschek VectorWorks; contains a word list used by the spell checker; used for spell checking documents against standard dictionary words.

CLX files are used for supporting multiple languages. Examples include the American English Dictionary ssceam2.clx, the Brazilian Portuguese Dictionary sscepb2.clx, and the British English Dictionary sscebr2.clx.
