.ENV File Extension

File used by Adobe products, such as Acrobat and Illustrator; contains information for a dictionary, which can be used for spell checking within the application; often seen with other dictionary files (.CLX and .LEX files), which together comprise the overall dictionary.

Application settings file used by E-on Vue, a 3D scene modeling program; contains system environment parameters and other variables; may be used to specify individual or group machine properties when rendering large scenes on multiple computers.

Used by Corel WordPerfect to store window and palette locations and other settings; can be saved by the user to save different palette layouts, known as environments.
